Sprung Core

Nov 12,2025

What it is:
A spring-loaded ejector pin that provides cushioned ejection and auto-retraction, typically for small strokes and low-force locations.

Typical applications:
Small snap-fits, undercuts, fine holes, local ejection points that prevent part deformation.

What it solves:
Avoids harsh ejection that can cause marks or distortion; simple structure and low cost.

Common materials / construction:
Hardened steel pin, fatigue-resistant stainless steel or spring steel, polished or plated surface.

Common issues & maintenance:
Spring fatigue causing incomplete retraction or insufficient force; pin tip wear causing part scratches. Regular replacement of spring and pin tip recommended.

Selection tips:
Check required stroke and load; avoid high shear or overloaded positions.
