Air Valves

Oct 27,2025

What it is:
pneumatic pins and valves that use compressed air to assist ejection or provide short, high-force pushes for stuck or thin-walled parts.

Typical applications:
thin-wall packaging, caps/closures, sticky or vacuum-sucked components, and synchronized pneumatic release on multi-cavity tools.

What it solves:
enables clean, non-deforming ejection, reduces mechanical shock, and can shorten cycle time versus slow mechanical ejectors.

Common materials:
hardened steel pins, stainless steel valve bodies, nitrile/Viton seals.

Common issues & maintenance:
contaminated/moist air, seal degradation, and clogged passages — use filters/dryers and periodic valve cleaning.

Selection tips:
size valves by part mass and wall thickness, keep air supply clean/dry, and place valves to avoid visible marking.
